Obituary of Doreen Jean-Marie (nee Hodgins)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doreen Hodgins on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the age of 85. Predeceased by her loving husband Philias Jean-Marie. Much loved mother of Sharon (Andre Cote), Eddie (Angela Lemay) and Tammy (Rick Alexander). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Christine (predeceased by David), Andre (Caryl), Jenna (Cory), Phillip (Chantal), Tyler (Heidi), Branden and Keyanna (Ben).

She will be fondly remembered by her many great-grandchildren Kaleb (Darleena), Joshua (Rose), Danica, Tristan, Olivia, Gracie (Hunter), Leah, Abigail, predeceased by Kaitlyn, Isaac, Alana (Evan), Rowyn, Ezzie, Nathan, Veda, Cohen, Alyssa and great great-grandchild Charlie. Loving sister of Ron Hodgins (late Denise) and sister-in-law June (Bill Barnard). Predeceased by brothers Glen (late Jean), Lloyd (late Marjorie), Lorn (Bernice) and Herbie (late Norma) and sisters Dorothy Hodgins, Eileen (late Charlie Smith), Velma (late Reuben Harris) and Mabel (late Myrland Sparling). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends as her home was always a safe haven.

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. followed by the funeral service in Bethel Pentecostal Church at 12:30 p.m. Interment Shawville Pentecostal Cemetery.
